Portraiture
I prefer to work from life, but as most of my clients are increasingly
busy people I have perfected a way of working from a series of
photographs. I always take the photographs myself, so as to capture just
the right elements I want to portray. I spend an hour or so chatting,and
getting to know my client until once relaxed
enough, I can 'see' what best describes the individual, be it a glance,
a posture or just an expression, the essence of the person quickly
becomes apparent. A photographic session follows. Then it's back to the
studio where the real work begins . |
